Red Palm Ink recently participated in a one-day writer’s workshop retreat that focused on a number of topics, including tips on how to work more efficently with the media, successful interviewing skills, grammar, style and editing techniques, and much more. The workshop’s s guest lecturer, Jacqui Banaszynski, is a 1988 Pulitzer Prize winner in feature writing and the recipient of a national SPJ Distinguished Service Award.
According to her biogrophigal information from the Missouri School of Journalism, Banaszynski holds the Knight Chair in Editing at the Missouri School of Journalism and is on the visiting faculty of The Poynter Institute. She has worked as a reporter and editor for more than 30 years, most recently as Associate Managing Editor of the The Seattle Times, where she was in charge of special projects and staff development.”
